She Is Safe was recently blessed with the opportunity to show the powerful “Girl Rising” film in Atlanta. The film screening led to wonderful conversations with new and old friends about the work SIS does with girls around the world.
“Girl Rising” tells the stories of nine girls who are equipped to change their lives. We saw the story of Azmera (featured above), whose family sold all they had rather than sell her into child marriage. We saw the power of saying “No!” to slavery and “Yes!” to education
“Girl Rising” is a great film and resource for those who want to spread awareness about the issues confronting girls and the world-changing impact of equipping them.
You, too, can screen this powerful movie to your community, and we’d like to help make that happen!
- Host a screening in your community. If enough people reserve tickets in advance, your local theater will show the movie.
- Host a screening at a school/corporate event. There are options available for students and business professionals.
- Get your friends together for the television premiere on June 16th on CNN.
We want to send you materials and brochures to accompany the screening that show how She Is Safe is freeing girls around the world from issues that lead to abuse and exploitation. Through freedom and empowerment, girls are being equipped to lead lives of dignity and faith, with a strong future on the horizon. You can help lead viewers to strengthen more girls through She Is Safe. Contact us at info@sheissafe.org to request the materials you’ll need.
