January 11 is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, and people across our country will join voices to raise the alarm on a global crisis. We would like to offer you a great new tool to help you spread the word.
As you read this, an estimated 27 million people around the world are living in slavery. The face of modern-day slavery is a woman’s face. The US Department of State informs us that out of people trafficked for domestic and sexual slavery, 80 percent are women and girls.
Our brand-new video below gives a one-minute overview of what puts a girl at risk for slavery, and how, with a few basic interventions, she can travel from danger to new life in Christ.
This year, for Human Trafficking Awareness Day, would you consider raising the alarm by forwarding this message, sharing this video via Facebook or Twitter, and directing your community to check out SheIsSafe.org to learn more about how to address the epidemic that is claiming the lives of millions of women and girls around the globe?
And let’s not stop at one day! Please ask your church if you can share this video with your congregation one Sunday.
